Open source
The source code is published on GitHub. Anyone can review it or build the launcher themselves.

FAQ
Is it safe?
Yes. The launcher's source code is open and available for review on GitHub. We recommend downloading the launcher only from the official website or the GitHub releases page.
Is it suitable for low-end PCs?
Yes. The launcher is written in Rust and uses few resources. Hardware requirements depend on the game version and installed mods; for low-end systems there is a "Low memory" Java preset.
Which Minecraft versions are supported?
All official Minecraft versions are supported, including alphas and snapshots, as well as the Forge, NeoForge, Fabric and Quilt loaders. A custom version can be added from a .jar file.
Can I install mods?
Yes. Mods from Modrinth and CurseForge can be found and installed right in the launcher, and dependencies are installed automatically. If mods conflict, the launcher reports it and suggests a fix.
Do I need to install Java separately?
No. The launcher automatically downloads the Java version required by the selected game version. You can also specify a Java installation you already have.
Can I create multiple profiles?
Yes. Each game version or modpack gets a separate instance with its own mods, settings and folder.
How much does it cost?
The launcher is completely free. Its source code is open on GitHub, and you can support development on Boosty.
Do I need a Microsoft account?
No. You can sign in with Microsoft or Ely.by, or create an offline account with any name. You can keep several accounts and give each instance its own.
Can I play with friends without a public IP?
Yes. Create a room in the launcher and invite friends with a code: no port forwarding or public IP needed. Rooms can be public or private, with a password and a player limit.
How do I move instances from another launcher?
On first launch the launcher offers to migrate your data. It imports from PrismLauncher, MultiMC, ATLauncher, GDLauncher and CurseForge, as well as Modrinth (.mrpack) and CurseForge modpacks.
What if the game crashes?
Open the game console: the log analyzer reads the crash report and tells you what broke. It also offers quick fixes: disable the faulty mod, add memory or switch Java back to automatic. If that does not help, ask on Discord.
